High speed web browser based on Chrome
- Protects privacy more than Chrome
- Allows you to install add-ons from Chrome store
- Too similar to Chrome
Superbird Browser is a high-speed web browser based on Google Chrome. In fact, there is almost no distinguishable difference between the two - it's simply a modification of Google's browser.
Works like Chrome
The developer claims that Superbird preserves privacy much better than Google Chrome as it doesn't send usage stats back to Google such as Client ID, Installation ID, Google Updater, etc. It has also run its own tests that show that it is faster than the "big three" browsers of Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explore.
If you want to check out the privacy and speed claims yourself, you should visit the browser comparison on Superbird's website.
You can also install plugins and apps from the Google Chrome store.
Looks like Chrome
In terms of look and feel, other than the icon there is no way of telling Superbird Browser and Chrome apart. The menus are the same, the star to favorite is the same, the download bar at the bottom of the window is the same - I think you get the picture.
But isn't Chrome
Superbird Browser is perfect for those that like the Chrome experience but aren't fans of Google. It's a perfectly fine as far as browsers go but it gets "nul points" for originality.
